Restaurant Technology & Operations Leader | Making Sense of Technology for Operational Excellence

Restaurant technology deployment, POS & back-of-house, and franchise technology across multi-market QSR systems.

I lead restaurant technology for KFC Latin America & Caribbean: 2,200+ restaurants, 39 countries, 32 franchisees. Before that I managed the PAR POS rollout for Burger King U.S. & Canada at 400 restaurant deployments a month. And before technology, I was a franchise operator myself.

Positioning

Where the kitchen meets the stack.

I take restaurant technology from selection to sustainment: lab, pilot, rollout and adoption, across franchised, multi-market QSR systems. 8+ years in restaurant technology, after ten years running franchise units myself.

As a former franchisee, I know what every technology decision costs a restaurant's P&L. So I lead through influence without authority: I sequence projects by priority, budget, team capacity and vendor alignment, giving each one the attention and commitment it needs to land.

Operator first

I've been the franchisee.

From 2000 to 2010 I operated 5 Primax stations in Ecuador, $5M in annual revenue.

That's where I first put technology to work: a pre-paid fuel card program for corporate clients, run on a fleet management system. I onboarded 20 companies, from banks and food distributors to school buses and the municipal police, and served more than 15,000 vehicles. I created new payment rails for it and released the first reporting dashboard for fleet programs in Ecuador.

I build technology that franchisees actually adopt.

Franchisee technology assessment

Oct 2025 — Present
The problem

Technology investment across 39 markets was opinion-led.

What I did

Designed and ran a rubric-based franchisee capability assessment (adoption, readiness, capability) across 2,200+ restaurants, 39 countries and 32 franchisees.

What it solved

Outcome: one way to measure franchisee technology readiness and maturity, market by market; a new market launched on the framework.

Built with AI

Real tools, shipped with AI.

I design and build working products with AI: my own sites, and a check-in app for my running team. It keeps me hands-on with the tools restaurant teams are starting to use.

My personal site, designed and built with AI.

    The problem
A resume can't show how I work. I wanted one place that shows my work, what I'm building now, and how I keep up with restaurant technology.
    What it does
A one-page site with animated project visuals, a live restaurant trade-news feed, a working contact form and a 2-page resume, all from one source of facts.

    FoodSense website

The website for my restaurant technology consulting practice, designed and built with AI.

    The problem
I needed a steady way to bring in restaurant consulting clients.
    What it does
A landing page that says who I work with, what I offer and how I work. Its contact form sends each lead straight into a ClickUp CRM.

    My Olympic Coach check-in app

A check-in and community app for the My Olympic Coach running team.

    The problem
The team had no single place to capture athlete information, and athletes wanted to feel part of a community.
    What it does
Athletes check in to sessions, and check-ins are gamified. Coaches see who attended, who's checked in, who's missing out, and each athlete's pace group.
